The Joy of the Gospel (Evangelii Gaudium) was written in 2013 by Pope Francis.

The document has an introduction and five chapters. The parishioners looked at each of these in turn: pre-reading the relevant sections of the pope's document. Alongside this, they were consulting a guide to the document composed by Bill Huebsch.
