Preparing to celebrate the Sacrament of First Reconciliation in the Cluster

In our Cluster of three parishes - St Catherine’s, St Gregory’s and St John Vianney’s - we usually celebrate the Sacrament of First Reconciliation during Lent. Children are normally in Primary 3 when they make their First Reconciliation.

There is a program of preparation for First Reconciliation, and it is very important that the children and their families fully participate in, and complete, this program.

Our parish catechists work with the parish primary schools (St John Vianney’s and St Catherine’s) and parents to prepare our young people.

If your child attends St Catherine’s or St John Vianney’s Primary School, the school will let you know when the preparation program is starting and what it will involve.

If your child attends a school other than St John Vianney’s or St Catherine’s, you will need to complete a form to register and have your child enrolled in the First Reconciliation preparation program. Please click here to open and complete the form – First Reconciliation Registration Form.
