The Alpha Course
Our next Alpha Course runs weekly from
Tuesday 14 April until 16 June 2026,
7.30-8.30pm in the side chapel at St Catherine’s,
21 Gracemount Drive, Edinburgh EH16 6QP.
Come and join us
at 7pm for light snacks, finger foods and the occasional meal.
This is a great way to relax and get to know each other.
Come along and explore the big questions of life, faith and meaning
in a friendly, open and informal environment.
You can email us to find out more or simply turn up.

Who is the Alpha Course for?
EVERYONE!
We believe that everyone should have the chance to explore the Christian faith, ask questions and share their point of view. Whether you have no faith, have a deep relationship with God, want to (re)connect with God, or are just curious – everyone is welcome on Alpha!
There is no question too hostile, too silly or too simple. On Alpha, people are free to come together as they are and be themselves.
In the South Edinburgh Cluster we have found a real beauty in the variety of people coming together in each Alpha group to learn from each other and share their personal faith story plus the things that challenge each of us.
It's free to participate on the Alpha course and if at any point you decide Alpha isn't for you, that’s not a problem. There’s no pressure, no follow up and no charge.

Our Alpha ends with a meal
For our last Alpha evening, we met in Liberton Northfield Hall, where we shared a meal and watched the film "What is church?"
Every Alpha is different, but it’s the people who make it. Thanks to our guests for sharing their experiences so honestly and for being supportive of each other, and a huge thank you to the Alpha Team for their hard work and unfailing commitment to making our church missionary.
