Sister Mary Steedman RIP
25th March 1934 - 20 April 2020

You will no doubt have heard the news that Sister Mary died on Monday afternoon. I know you will share my deep sadness that she is no longer here among us. In the big picture we cannot be sad for her.
She has passed over to the eternal life and is with the Lord who graciously shared her with us for eighty-six years.
Now she is enjoying the fruits of her many years of loving service most of which were spent among us in South East Edinburgh. Our great regret is that because of the Covid 19 virus we are unable to gather together to give thanks and pay tribute to her and her Ministry among us. We will do this in due course with a Mass of Thanksgiving and as she would want with a party afterwards……

In the meantime to help us reflect on her life, below is the text of the homily given on her Golden Jubilee and also a part of the Tribute given on her retiral just a few years ago.
Many people have written and phoned to pass on their condolences and some of the memories they have of Sister Mary.
