Our Advent Page of Resources

Advent is the start of the Church's new year, so happy New Year to you!

Over the course of the Advent period, come back to this page for thoughts, words, images and sounds that help to prepare us for the coming of Jesus at Christmas.

First up is Archbishop Leo Cushley, who presented the "Thought for the Day" on Radio 4 and gave us his take on the Advent season.

Next up is an Advent Calendar - a poetic Advent Calendar.

There are 24 Tiny Advent Poems by Amy Scott Robinson. They have been presented visually by Richard Lyall, and we think the potential for these is endless.

Each day, a new poem will appear for the 24 days up to Christmas.

Then comes a lovely song about a dream that God would send someone to save us from our self-centred lives.

A dream that came true...
