26th Sunday B

The following resources are in the form of a video presentation

  • The readings for the day
  • (a useful commentary on these readings here )
  • A Gospel Reflection by Fr Alex
  • Prayers of Intercession
  • Closing reflective music

Having listened to the readings, the homily and the prayers, you might want simply to reflect yourself on what you have heard and how that might flow into your coming week. Some people have found it very helpful to meet with others and share their thoughts.

If you are interested  in joining a small group to share your thoughts and feelings about God's Word from any of the resources you have watched please email us.         cluster.alpha@outlook.com

Questions for reflection (framed for a group discussion)

  1. Relate an experience when God's power or love came to you through an unlikely person (Share in your group)
  2. What are the three most important values motivating your daily decisions?

Preparing for next week

For those who would like to start reflecting on next week's gospel,

the text can be found here.

Preparing for next week’s gospel:

Mark 10:2-16     What God has united, man must not divide.

Divorce is a fact of life for many, including Catholics.

Jesus sets a high moral threshold in his teaching on marriage,

but an equally high threshold of mercy for those who fail to reach it.

"He who is without sin, let him cast the first stone..."

  1. When have you experienced the merciful Jesus through a person in your life?
  2.  What could keep you from embracing the kingdom of God like a little child?
