Click on the picture below for the closing hymn: Bread of Life

Having listened to the readings, the homily and the prayers, you might want simply to reflect yourself on what you have heard and how that might flow into your coming week. Some people have found it very helpful to meet with others and share their thoughts.

If you are interested  in joining a small group to share your thoughts and feelings about God's Word from any of the resources you have watched please email us.         cluster.alpha@outlook.com

Questions for reflection (framed for a group discussion)

Being without the consecrated host will never lead to Christians being hungry; being sustained in our faith journey is never in doubt. Jesus says: "Is there anyone among you who would hand his son a stone when he asked for bread... ?

If you, then, evil as you are, know how to give your children what is good, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him!" (Matt 7,9 and 11)

  1. In your life, how has God sustained you in times of need?
  2. When has your faith helped you believe without "seeing signs" from God?

Preparing for next week

For those who would like to start reflecting on next week's gospel,

the text can be found here.

Preparing for next week’s gospel:

John 6:41-51          I am the living bread which has come down from heaven.

Some people leave us feeling good about ourselves and,

with a spring in our step, we face the world in a better state of mind.

They are like crumbs falling from the table of the Master who is the Bread of Life.

They help us to "Taste and see that the Lord is good" (Ps. 34)

  1. Who are the people who have nourished your spiritual life (maybe no names)?
  2. When has the bread of life given you the strength you needed to face a difficult situation in your life?
