Lent in the Cluster 2024

Lenten activities in our Cluster 2024

There are a number of activities happening in the Cluster during Lent.

Please try to manage to one or more of these as you prepare for the risen Jesus at Easter.

You will be made very welcome.

Stations of the Cross

All our Cluster parishioners will have two opportunities each week to pray the Stations of the Cross this Lent:
Mondays @ 2pm in St Catherine's, starting 19 Feb
Tuesdays @ 7pm in St Gregory's, starting 20 Feb. There will be no Stations on Tue 26 March when the children will celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

Lenten evenings produced by our Connect Groups

You are warmly invited to our Lenten evenings which will be in person in St Catherine’s church every Tuesday from 13 Feb - 19 March, 7-8pm, with refreshments in the hall afterwards. We have been hosting these evenings for 5 years now.

Click on any of the above to watch the recorded sessions.

The Lectio course

Have you ever tried praying with scripture? During Lent we are called to deepen our prayer life. We invite you to a 5-week course on Lectio Divina, an ancient practice of praying with the Bible. This is often a new way of praying for Catholics but it can help deepen our relationship with God and increase our understanding of His Word.
The sessions are very informal - we watch a film, discuss it over a cuppa then practice the method together.

  • Where? St Catherine’s Hall.
  • When? Wed 21 Feb - Wed 20 March.
  • Please note that the session on Wed 6 March will be at St Gregory's.
  • Time? 7-8.30pm (refreshments from 6.30pm)

Other SEECAT Lenten sessions
