Celebrating Baptism in our Cluster
In our Cluster of three parishes, we celebrate the sacrament of Baptism on three weekends each year.
We celebrate it during the Saturday evening (St Gregory’s) and Sunday morning (St John Vianney’s and St Catherine’s) Masses. Celebrating Baptism during Mass helps to emphasise that your child is being baptised into the Body of Christ, a community of faith. It is always a great joy for us to welcome new members into our parish family. The dates for the current calendar year are listed below.
If you are considering presenting your child for baptism, the first step is to complete and submit this form –
Baptism Enquiry Form. One of our Baptism Team will then get in touch with you. They will provide you with details of the next Baptism Preparation Course and invite you to participate in it.
In asking to have their child baptised, parents are accepting the responsibility of training their child in the practice of the faith. This includes participation in the community of faith through our weekly gathering at Saturday or Sunday Mass and a life of discipleship. If you are not participating in Mass at the moment, we as a community of faith would like to extend a very warm invitation to you to come to one of our weekend Masses. As well as committing to providing you with a warm welcome, we commit to supporting you and your family in your faith life by providing opportunities to grow on your own faith journey and have an active involvement in the life of our parishes.
