We are fortunate to have a Conference of the Society of St Vincent de Paul (SVDP) in each of our three Cluster parishes. They engage in support work across our communities and this work is largely hidden and is confidential.
In St Catherine's the Conference organise and host a Christmas Dinner each year for the senior members of the parish. The Conference meets in the Parish House on specified Sunday mornings at 9.15am. The contact person is Jim Harkins (664 9420).
In St Gregory’s the Conference meets every two weeks on a Tuesday. Members arrange a car pool, caravan holidays and trips for the housebound, and organise Mass with the anointing of sick and housebound (spring and autumn) Contact any SVDP member or see members holding alms boxes in the porch after Saturday Mass. The President is Ellen Salvona (258 2752) and the Vice-President is Margaret Ellison (664 1070).
In St John Vianney’s the Conference meets every three weeks on a Sunday morning. The contact person is Jimmy Malone (663 8033).
